The agenda for Tuesday night's Dorr Township monthly meeting includes an Executive Session, followed by agenda items to discuss and take action on two motions related to a purchase of real property:
12. Discussion and action on ordinance regarding purchase of a building for use as a township hall.
A) Motion to authorize execution of offer to purchase under the terms of a Real Estate Contract.
B) Motion to approve $1,000 as earnest money for purchase of real property pursuant to offer to purchase under terms of a Real Estate Contract.
This may be the same deal that they tried to fly under the radar, but a resident started asking questions at a meeting about a $1,000 earnest money payment, and the check got canceled before it got cashed. There is a certain way that public bodies have to do business now, and Dorr residents ought to be happy and proud that a few concerned residents are keeping a close eye on the cookie jar.
More interested residents are needed at every public meeting. The next one is Tuesday, March 8, 7:30PM, at 140 Newell St., Woodstock.

Gus,
Proving once again, you are a dim witted person. The township needs a new hall. What is the problem? It is truely amazing how you blow things out of proporation.
