On the DenverPost website today is an ad for Jason Plummer, U. S. Congressional candidate in (Illinois) District 12.
"How much does every taxpayer owe on the national debt? $141,xxx." That ad is paid for by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce!
Why is it on the Denver Post website?
How come that ad isn't running in Illinois???

You may have seen a targeted advertisement, that was displayed to you based on your IP address.
Your IP address can be associated with your ISP, whose location is known. An advertisement related to the ISP's location is then shown to you.
Users in other areas are probably seeing political areas for candidates in their vicinity.
Yes, thanks. I'll bet that was it. These Google AdSense types of ads are showing up everywhere.
