Did you see the news about the trigger-happy county cops in Berwyn Heights, Md., who busted into the mayor's house and killed his two black labs on July 29?
The county cops had set up a drug bust after intercepting a shipment of 32 pounds of marijuana addressed to the mayor's wife. The original crime's delivery plan was that a FedEx deliveryman would deliver the package and then another person would take it from the doorstep before the resident could get it.
The county cops delivered it and then laid in wait for the residents. When the mayor got home, he carried it into the house, and that's when all (fill in the blank) broke loose. The cops broke down the door and shot the two dogs, including the smaller one which was running away from them.
Everyone knows what vicious dogs black labs can be; right? Known to attack? Sharp teeth and locking jaws? Well, maybe, if the owner is attacked; and maybe not.
It took the cops a while to figure out that the mayor and his wife were not the intended recipients. I wonder where the cops will enjoy working next.
The police chief of Prince George's County (Maryland) defended his storm troopers and apparently didn't find anything wrong with his officers' killing the two pets.
And the police chief of Berwyn Heights, where the mayor's home was located? He wasn't even informed that the raid was planned. Great cooperation between law enforcement agencies; right? Think he would have informed the PGC police chief that they were about to raid the mayor's home and he might not be armed to the teeth? At least, the brutes might have gone to the door with a different mindset.
