For those who think that serving as an election judge is a gravy job, just come out and do it.
Getting up at 4:15AM to show up at the polling place at 5:00AM to complete the set-up? Do you usually arise at 4:15AM?
Working straight through without a break, except for wolfing down some donuts or a fast lunch at the working space?
Closing the polling place at 7:00PM and then working for 60-90 minutes to counts ballots, reconcile differences, and leaving about 8:30PM?
Crashing at 9:00PM and losing the next day because of fatigue?
Nobody does this for the pay, I can assure you of that.

I thought you would've stopped eating junk food after having a heart attack.
Gus if you average the pay out it isn't bad. Maybe if you have a career it isn't worth it but for many people with no/low skills the pay is actually good. It works out to over 10 an hour cash. I don't have a job right now and the pay works great for me. In fact, it's higher than any job I've had in the past besides for one.
Aside from that, it's probably the easiest job I've ever had. It's very simple. Look up someone's name give them a ballot. There's a few more things but for the most part that's all you do.
Good to see you there, Gus. :-)
