Somebody once said, "Don't sweat the small stuff." And then someone else said, "It's all small stuff."
But wait until you watch this 20-minute, must-see video. Gather your family; turn off your TV and watch this video: www.storyofstuff.com
The time will fly. Initially, you might be tempted to click back to your favorite night-time drama, but watch it all the way through. This video should be shown in every place of work and in every school; and then discussed. Actually discussed!
I spent 5 1/2 weeks in Belize in 1992 and lived a very sparse existence in a small town near the Mexico-Belize border. I was not there as a tourist; instead, I lived as the people of the town lived. And I had almost no trash. Now? I'm appalled at the weekly bag of trash that goes into the dumpster. Where did it all come from?
Watch www.storyofstuff.com; then forward the link or this article (using the small envelope at the end of the article) to family, neighbors, friends, co-workers and to educators and government representatives. Or you can use the "Tell a Friend" link right on the website. And then follow up; ask them if they watched it - all of it. Did they? Did you?

I just forwarded the link to my daughter in Eugene. She has been talking about toxins and recycling since before I can remember. Where she lives the saying about recycling goes--"before you put your recyclables on the curb, go through them again and recycle your recyclables". She has a friend that is a clothing designer and calls her company Revival clothing. She believes there is already enough clothing on this planet, that no more fabric needs to be made. She takes outdated and worn out clothing and takes it apart and makes something new and different. She has even had several fashion shows.
Loved it...thanks for sharing.
