This year's program has been expanded to include more informative and useful sessions for parents, counselors and teachers, as well as keeping the heart of the event - the student's sessions - intact. Interesting open and closing sessions are planned, too, so arrive early and stay until the end.
Penguin organizers need your help. There are many ways in which
you can support them in this very visible mission... to address racism, prejudice and discrimination.
One way to help is to spread the word in any way that you can. Tell your
friends, co-workers, neighbors. Go to its Facebook page ("Don't Kick Penguins) and share the
event.
Another way is to participate by either
attending Penguins or by volunteering at it. Or by volunteering prior to
the event; they still need help organizing it.
And, of course, there is always the very important
financial support that is needed. They have a small grant that covers some
of the expenses; everything else is donated, begged for or covered by the Board.
