Obama-waste

So now we hear that Obama headquarters for 2012 will be Chicago. Oh, joy...

How much will this waste cost us taxpayers? B.O. is to hold a fund-raising event at Navy Pier. You know? If he'd just tell Biden to hold down the fort for a few days while he hopped a United flight for Chicago, wouldn't that be nice?

Leave all the Secret Service guys (and gals) in Washington; bring his BlackBerry; leave "the" briefcase in the White House; leave all the gas-guzzling tanks and the fuel-guzzling planes at Andrews AFB (or wherever they park them), kiss his wife and kids good-bye for the day...

And just take one of Chicago's famous cabs from the airport to Navy Pier, and then home afterwards. No police escorts. No streets closed.

Why, hasn't Daley made Chicago safe for all visitors and residents? Oh, yes; and Rahm... what's his plan for safety of all residents and visitors? Will he dispatch his security detail and put them back on the streets to do real police work?

How much would this save Americans?

Or are all his travel costs, including security, paid for by the Democratic Party or by his own campaign? If they aren't, they should be...
