Beth Bentley has been missing since about May 21, 2010. Or is it "since May 23"? What's the truth here? Nobody seems to know.
About all that is known for sure is that she was seen at her youngest son's baseball game on Thursday, May 20.
After that? Did she really leave Woodstock and drive to Mt. Vernon on Thursday night with her friend, co-worker, frequent alibi and monetary beneficiary, Jenn Wyatt? Did Beth, Jenn, and Ryan and Nathan Ridge eat in the Frosty Mug that Friday night? Was that the date when Nathan was refused an alcoholic drink, because he couldn't prove he was 21?
If one person is a frequent customer in an establishment and, after Beth's disappearance, he stops going to that that establishment, is that a habit or pattern that should be looked at closely?
Or were they in the Frosty Mug two weeks before, on Mother's Day week-end? Earlier rumors placed Beth on a trip to St. Louis that week-end and included a missed flight out of St. Louis on Monday, which supposedly caused Jenn some concern.
Airline reservations, flights and missed or changed flights are easily traced in airline records. Do they exist?
Why have law enforcement agencies had so little to say in the past 11 (that's eleven!) months? Surely, some of the stories have been confirmed or dismissed. Yet police agencies have had virtually nothing to say about this case, unlike in missing person cases in other parts of the country.
No organized searches were ever conducted. Where might searches have been made? In the woods within a mile of a home in Mt. Vernon where Beth was thought to have stayed one or two nights? Along the banks of the Big Muddy River? Near or under a certain bridge? Even at selected locations in Woodstock?
Was there really a boat rental on Rend Lake on Saturday? That's pretty easy to prove or disprove. Contact the Marina operator and ask about rental records. Was that ever done?
Did Beth's phone really ping in McHenry County late Sunday night, May 23? Yes or No?
What about all those text messages to and from Beth's phone on Sunday?
Did she, previously described as a "serial texter" and a mother in frequent contact with her kids, actually speak directly with her children on Saturday or Sunday of that week-end?
These are questions that have never been answered.
Is she still considered a runaway by the Woodstock Police Department? What did "endangered" mean, when Woodstock PD added that on the second poster that was put up on the P.D. webpage (where it will be seen by few people)?
Has the lead investigation agency now been transferred to the Illinois State Police?

So many good questions>. Agencies often play it close to the vest on many facts, but this seems to go beyond that in most instances!
Thanks Gus for keeping this story on your page!!!
