Harrison to run as Independent

Jim Harrison announced at his "fun-raiser" last night that he will be running for Sheriff of McHenry County as an Independent.

The fundraiser was held at Edgetown Bowl in Woodstock, and all lanes were in use, as individuals and families turned out to support Harrison. Just before bowling started, Harrison welcomed all and announced his decision to run as an Independent, disconnecting himself from the "politics" of Republican or Democrat from the Office of Sheriff.

As a former deputy with the McHenry County Sheriff's Department, he has experience as a law enforcement officer. As an attorney, he has experience in cases prosecuted by the County and in employment law.

Information about Harrison will be found on his website at www.jimharrisonforsheriff.com
