New sign? One could only hope...

An email with this picture arrived just in time!

I had just read the Chicago Tribune Clout Street article about the anti-gun rally in Springfield yesterday that attracted a whopping 600 people.

I was reaching for the nitroglycerine (the little tablet for under the tongue, not that other stuff), when an email from a reader popped up.

Gov. Quinn couldn't make it to the Illinois Gun Owner Lobby Day (IGOLD) on March 6 (8,000? marchers), but he could kowtow to Chicago's loudmouth Rev. Pfleger, who was crying about how gun control is "for the children".

What's it going to take to stop gun violence in Chicago?

I can tell you what is not going to work. Disarming law-abiding citizens is not going to solve the gun-violence problem in Chicago! Why do I think that the criminals are not going to see the gun-free zone signs and then just walk on by? Why do I think the gangbangers are going to stop their drive-by shootings, when law-abiding citizens see a concealed-carry law on the books but can't carry their guns where they might need them?

Q. Do you know what the difference is between a terrorist and a Democratic State Representative in Cook County?
A. You can negotiate with a terrorist.

Reporter used words and themes in his article that he doesn't even understand, such as "assault weapons" and "high-profile shootings" in Chicago. What "high-profile shootings"? There haven't been any.
