Call your State Rep TODAY

Call your Illinois State Representative today - at his Springfield office - and ask - NO, TELL - him or her to vote against HB 180.

If you read only the summary of the Bill on www.illinois.gov, you will not get the gist and danger of it. You must read the full bill, especially down to Section 30, which requires a gun dealer to report sales to the Illinois State Police.

For State officials (and all police officers and deputies) to know that you have a FOID card is bad enough. While it might be a halfway decent requirement to prevent certain classes of persons (felons; persons with serious mental illness, etc.) from purchasing guns legally, it also tells the cops where those are who might own guns.

HB 180 will tell them exactly what guns.

This is rotten legislation. In the Illinois 63rd District, call Jack Franks today, because legislators might vote tomorrow, February 9. Jack's Springfield telephone number is 217/782-1717.

And don't just tell him how to vote. Ask his office how he will vote. And then call back and find out how he did vote.
