One of the best-kept secrets in McHenry County is the new Family Resource Center, located in the new Family Service & Community Mental Health Center at 4100 Veterans Parkway, McHenry.
The Center offers the following help:
-Connection to community resources and support
-Parenting assistance in a family-friendly, relaxing environment
- Support from trained parent staff who have experienced the sometimes-confusing systems of youth mental health care
- A lending library focused on family and relationship needs, life coping skills and local services
- Free internet access and assistance with your search for answers
The Center is located on the second floor at Family Service and is open Mondays through Thursdays, 4:00-8:00PM. No appointment is necessary. Free childcare is available.
