Merit Commission meeting scrubbed

The February meeting of the McHenry County Sheriff's Department Merit Commission was scrubbed at the last minute yesterday, when it became apparent that a quorum would not make it to the 10:30AM meeting.

The Commission has five members, and three are needed for a quorum. An agenda had been published, which included Payment of Bills and a New Business item of a Leave of Absence. There was also old business of the Sergeants' and Lieutenants' Eligibility List Extensions.

Does the lack of a meeting mean that any person applying for a leave of absence must wait another month?

The next Regular Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 10, 10:30AM in the County's Administration Building at 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.
