A low slearner?

The Woodstock Independent (TWI) does a good job of reporting arrests in Woodstock. Every week it devotes one-half page, more or less, to police activity. If you read TWI, you know your Woodstock Police Department is hard at work, protecting the town.

This week, TWI included 26 arrests made during the period November 17 - December 1. The reports are listed by date of arrest or charge. Seven Woodstock-area arrests by the McHenry County Sheriff's Department are also reported.

On November 21 Steven M. Nachtwey, 17, 501 Brink Street, Woodstock, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor in the 1200 block of South Eastwood Drive and released on a Notice to Appear in court on January 8.

The very next day, on November 22, Nachtwey was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor in the 300 block of Lake Avenue and released on a Notice to Appear in court on January 8.

Obviously, he didn't learn anything on November 21. Will a judge send him to a memory improvement course?

The punk has an alcohol prob (like TMB). Give'm 30 days in the gray-bar hotel to dry out and get clean. Then set him up with a job.
Otherwise, his issues are just gonna escalate... eventually becoming a TMB II... DOH!

What the judge needs to do is find out where this kid is getting his alcohol from. I am aware of a certain store on the north side of town that does not do a very good job of carding for smokes or drinks. They never seem to get busted though....hmmmm
