How to know you're having a bad day?
The tow truck you are driving ends up in a swimming pool because you were talking on one cell phone and texting on a different cell phone, instead of driving the truck!
The Associated Press reports that a 25-year-old driver in Lockport, N.Y. was doing just that, when his tow truck hit a car, then hit a house and ended up halfway into the swimming pool.
A photo on AOLNews showed the rollback tow truck with its cargo still in place and dry. Click here to see the photo: http://news.aol.com/article/driver-accused-of-texting-talking/597478
So, how about a ban on handheld cell phones in Woodstock? When you are driving, notice the number of drivers on handheld cell phones and who are giving more attention to chatting than to driving their cars.
I guess it will take someone's getting killed here before the City Council will join other towns and cities that have recognized the danger and have banned the use of handheld cell phones by drivers of moving vehicles.

Unless Frank is taking a photo while driving...... thats changes everything. I guess the rules change for you.
but everyone needs to see his pictures!
I would agree with a ban on handheld cellphone use, but it seems to me that no one would ever get caught. Almost everytime I drive by a police officer, they are talking on a handheld cellphone while driving instead of paying attention to what is going on around them.
sreed1096, I used to think that the cops on their phones were talking to their wives or girlfriends or ordering pizza, and then I found out that they are talking to other cops, so they don't have to talk on the police radio, where transmissions are recorded.
If they are talking about their wives or girlfriends or pizza on their personal cell phones, that's okay with me. Official business ought to be on the police radio.
But I'm just picky.
Or maybe they are coordinating information that should not be put over the radio so every loser with a scanner can hear! Keep in mind Gus, if only scanner geeks has scanners it would be fine, but bad guys have them too.
