More than one reader has contacted me about the Zinke fundraiser announced at On Target. These readers are telling me that they will no longer be shooting at On Target, since it is hosting the fundraiser.
To learn whether On Target is merely providing a location for the event, much like a restaurant or any other business might, I sent an email this afternoon to On Target.
"I publish the Woodstock Advocate (www.woodstockadvocate.com), and readers are contacting me about your hosting a Zinke-for-Sheriff fundraiser. These readers are commenting that they will no longer being shooting at On Target. Will you please let me know if "hosting" the fundraiser means you are a strong financial supporter of Undersheriff Zinke and contributing substantially to the expense of the fundraiser?
"Or did the Zinke campaign committee just arrange to have the fundraiser at your range and they are covering the costs of the fundraiser?
"Readers of the Woodstock Advocate will be interested in your reply."
What do you suppose they will be serving for liquid refreshments? Beer? Wine? Will the City of Crystal Lake issue a liquor license for serving alcohol at a gun range?
Will the Crystal Lake Police set up a DUI checkpoint nearby?

Im glad you posted this as Bill Prim is a friend of mine and I certainly do not want to patronize a place that supports his oppostion. Did they reply ?

These are all questions. See the question mark (?)! If you take this as an implication, then are you implicated? (Question)
You also state "We take great offense at the title of the blog in that it implies we think combining guns and booze is a good idea"

This Mr Strom is a TITLE. Who is "We"?(Question)

You further imply that the Zinke event has applied for a liquor license and that the Crystal Lake Police will need to be available for DUI checks. Really? We can’t imagine that many people would perceive these remarks to have any merit in fact.
