Changes, by Zane Seipler

If you have been waiting to find out what kind of changes Republican candidate for Sheriff Zane Seipler would make, wait no longer. Go right to http://mcsdexposed.blogspot.com/ and read what he will do in the blog entitled "Issues".

First, he must be successful on February 2 in the Primary Election that day in McHenry County. (He didn't put that in his list.)

What you'll see on his blog is what he'll do, if he beats Keith Nygren on February 2 and if he is elected Sheriff on November 2.

Zane addresses broad categories and give specific examples of money-saving, service-improvement changes he'll make.

I didn't find one there to disagree with. These are all changes! Not the way business is being done now.

Keep in mind that the primary election is an intra-party race. Only Republicans will get a chance to choose between Seipler and Nygren. Of course, if you are a card-carrying Democrat or Green Party member and care more about the sheriff's race than any of the other offices in your preferred party, then you can ask for a Republican ballot on February 2 and vote for Zane.

Can you select a republican ballot the day of voting? I think I might be registered as an independent but would like to vote for a republican in February due to this sheriff race.

I believe that you can ask for any one ballot when you are there to vote, whether early or on Feb. 2. To be sure, call 815-334-4242 on Tuesday (or maybe on Monday).
