The new sign is up. New awnings are in place.
A sign on the door indicates that Herban Fare, located on Calhoun Street between Jefferson and Dean Streets, will be opening soon - perhaps this next week.
Watch for the opening. Owner Tom Burns may do a "soft" opening - just turn on the lights, open the doors, invite some special folks in and let diners start finding it, while he fine-tunes operations and staffing. Then the advertising and promotion will start. Word of mouth works well, too; maybe best.
Hours will be Monday-Saturday 11:00AM-2:00PM for lunch and 5:00-10:00PM for dinner. For information, telephone (815) 338-FARE.
It's in a good location - close to the Square but not on the Square. Parking will be easier. Lighting is good.
For those of you coming from afar and those who still cannot find the Square in Woodstock, the address for Herban Fare is 125 East Calhoun Street, Woodstock, Ill. Just plug that into your GPS.
