It won't be long before the Woodstock Square can boast of one more new eating establishment.
A.B.C. - Athenian Broiled Chicken will open soon at 108 Cass Street. This location was popular in the movie, Groundhog Day, as the Tip Top Cafe.
What's the fare? Well, I'll guess Athenian broiled chicken, whatever that is. And, from the sign in the window, gyros and shishkabobs, too.
O.K., folks, save up those sheckles and get ready to dine out.
And, by the way, don't forget the other restaurants on the Square. How about spending more of your dining-out dollars right here in Woodstock, instead of trekking over to Crystal Lake or McHenry?

A reader describes Athenian broasted chicken as "... wonderful. Broiled with lemon, garlic & oregano; especially when served with potatoes sliced and deep-fried with lemon & oregano sprinkled on them, too.
Anybody hungry?
The PUB, across the street and downstairs next to the Theater has GREAT food. Some great dining.
