June 29th is the day. The only day. The one day in 2013 to see a magnificient garden train lay-out.
On only one day each year Elaine ("Train Lady") Silets opens her property to the public to view her trains.
For a $10.00 donation (cash; no checks or credit cards (children under 12, $2.00)) to her late husband's memorial scholarship fund, you can view the trains and chow down between 10:00am-4:00pm.
The address is 125 Arrowhead Lane, North Barrington, Ill., but you probably don't want to try to park in the neighborhood. Go to her website and park in one of the free parking areas and take the free shuttle bus. Note on the map that Miller Road is closed between Hwy. 59 and Arrowhead Lane, so don't try to approach from the west.
Click through her website, and plan to head to North Barrington early on June 29.
