Just received a new book in the mail. Let's see...549 pages at 30 pages/day... 19 days? I'll bet I'll read it more quickly than that. Check out this description:
"This is a story of a young lad from a small farm in Illinois who had a dream of becoming a fighter pilot. After many potential pitfalls the dream came true. Adventures beyond the dream unfolded into politics. Environmentalists will be left in a state of disbelief as they read the story of the sell out of a 12,000 year old pristine glacial lake. Law abiding citizens who have faith in the Constitution will be amazed at how far a legal system can go astray. This is a story of elected officials and self-proclaimed "Decision Makers" forgetting about the citizens they were elected to represent as they pursue their own interests."
Have you guessed what it's about yet? Crystal Lake, Illinois.
The author? George Wells, former Mayor of Crystal Lake (1991-95)
The book? It's That Way Everywhere, George
The cost? $20.00, plus $4.00 shipping, and that includes a nice inscription from the author (Author's contact information available upon request)
This book will be worth its weight in gold to me. Thanks, George!
