Scott's Law - do you know it?
This is a law that requires you, as a driver, to exercise more caution when passing an emergency vehicle stopped on the side of the road. You can find the details in the Illinois Rules of the Road or you can Google it.
Basically, you are required to move over one lane, if possible on a four-lane road, or to slow down as you pass.
What about when you pass the ComEd trucks on U.S. 14 between Crystal Lake and Woodstock that are working on the north side of the road and while they are displaying flashing amber lights?
Do you have to slow down while passing them?
