MCR2CA Training Night - Feb. 6

Training Night with Master Instructor John Krupa

Thurs., Feb. 6, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Woodstock VFW - Free

We are pleased and proud to be able to bring renowned firearm and tactics instructor John Krupa to you.

John is an active duty police officer with the Orland Hills Police Dept. (IL.) and is currently assigned to the patrol division and firearms training. He has over 22 years of experience in law enforcement and has previously served with the Chicago Police Dept. as a patrol officer, rapid response officer, field training officer and firearms instructor.

He is a recipient of the Award of Valor, Silver Star for Bravery, Distinguished Service Award and numerous department commendations and awards for his actions in the line of duty, including the 1998 and 2005 Police Officer of the Year Award.

John is a certified firearms instructor (ILETSB) with the Chicago Police Department, certified Master Firearms Instructor (ILETSB) with the University of Illinois – Police Training Institute and holds the rating of Distinguished Weapons Expert with the Department of Homeland Security. He has accumulated over 4000 hours of certified training as a firearms instructor, operator and armorer.
John is a graduate firearms instructor from the Secret Service Academy, FBI, DEA and Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), and has the distinguished recognition of being the only law enforcement trainer in the country to attend all four of these prestigious instructor training programs.
John is the founder and president of Spartan Tactical Training Group and serves as the Director of Training. John has also previously served as Director of Training for the DS Arms Law Enforcement Training Division (2005 – 2012).

He has served as a firearms training consultant with the International Association of Chiefs of Police and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives firearms interdiction program and has also served as a contract firearms instructor for the Department of Homeland Security – Federal Flight Deck Officers (FFDO) program.

The topics covered in his presentation will include:
- How to avoid being a fraud CCL victim
- ISP fraud instructor affidavit program
- Understanding the liability dynamics post shooting
- Discovery process and what attorneys look for in use of force cases
- What to look for in securing expert witnesses
- Review legal experiences in my shooting incidents
- Address instructor background development
- Insight on instructor professionalism, networking and continuing education.

Gus,I know John personaly and I can tell you he is what we in law enforcement call " the real deal". A great cop who worked the ghetto while with the CPD and one who knows the street as opposed to those traffic nazis who think law enforcement begins and ends with a traffic ticket. You will do right by him. I'm happy he is doing this as he will give you some valuable information. I encourage all to attend.

CC is not a privilege as the last time I knew there was a document that gave us that right.

I know it's difficult to distinguish between the two (privilege/right) as our great (in their own minds) elected leaders want you to think you owe everything to them especially at election time.
