One of them might get stopped for a DUI or drugs or paraphernalia in a car. That person might try to cut a deal with prosecution attorneys or police by spilling the goods.
Woodstock Police and others should be keep the list of Beth's acquaintances fresh in their minds. Now, they won't be able to use Chicago PD Det. Burge's methods, but there are other ways to sweat information out of those who are likely persons-of-interest. Maybe you dangle a 364-day sentence in the County Jail under their noses for a DUI or a drug charge. Maybe you intimate that a woman's kids will be taken away from her and placed in foster care. Maybe you allege bad parenting if a boyfriend intimidates a woman's child.
Of course, only legal methods can be used. Otherwise, they backfire.
But 93 weeks is a long time. Why are other women being found all over the U.S., but Beth hasn't been found? Intensive searching and media attention helped a lot. Why do so many think there hasn't even been a serious effort to find her? When was the last time her own family got loud about Beth's being missing?

Time is the enemy of Beth Bentley and those responsible celebrate each new day this case sits and collects dust.
I don't know Beth Bentley, but I will say, I was getting po'd early on when there wasn't ANY sense of urgency to find this woman.
Her "friends" would have you believe she was nothing more than a "party animal" and got mixed up in drugs, or affairs with unknown men, meeting in unknown places she kept secret from a best friend she supported financially and every other way you can be supported.
What is LE thinking on this? Beth Bentley got what she deserved because of the lifestyle choices she made? If they have her "friends" in their ear doing the character assasination they did on her missing page, perhaps any efforts to do any actual digging into this case was minimal.
As far as missing person cases, the common element you see is families literally begging for help, trying like hell to keep their loved one's face out there, and trying like hell to keep LE involved. Interesting isn't it, that the opposite is true in this case?
