Where is my AR-15?

Ever wonder where your gun is?

Has this hit the local news yet?

http://illinoiscarry.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=54527

A Lake County Sheriff's sergeant put his bag containing the Department's AR-15 on the trunk of his car and drove off. The bag (with the AR-15) fell off into the roadway, where Eric Koehler found it  - and turned it in.

Tell me this is not true ...

Does the Northwest Herald think this is not a story?

You'll have to pay the Chicago Tribune to read its story.

But you can read it free by just clicking on the link.

Then you'll wonder why the McHenry Police wanted to "exclude police". From the story? Gee, I wonder why.

Stop the presses. The Lake County Undersheriff says an AR-15 is more accurate than a shotgun.

Kinda like comparing apples and oranges; right? Click on the link in the story.

Ray Rose is salivating at the thought of this case coming across his desk.

The Sgt.in question has been re-assigned to Court Security.

Does Lake County use sworn deputies in its courthouse? So far, haven't seen the name of the sergeant anywhere. Biggest secret in northern Illinois (to the public, that is).

I wonder if McHenry PD would refuse to release the name and claim that it would be an undue invasion of his privacy...

How much simpler it would be just to put all the news "out there" and let it blow away the next day.

All Court Security officer's are sworn but they are not grade one which means they only have police power on court property. All of the supervisors and the SWAT are grade one.
