Concealed carry graphic - great!

The graphic shows the progression of concealed carry laws from 1986-2013. Finally, Illinois came into the Union.

Of course, the war isn't over. The battle was won this week, but the legislature attempted to begin changing the law on the very same day after the vote.

There is little doubt that extreme vigilance must continue.

A lawsuit has already been filed to allow firearms owners to begin "packing" while waiting for the Illinois State Police to spend the next six months implementing the new law and another 2-3 months after that to begin issuing concealed carry licenses.

If you start seeing guns, don't panic. Remember, the person carrying is ready only to defend himself. Of course, if you are in Chicago, just be ready to hand over your purse or wallet.
