Trotter, on concealed carry

Sure, it was in 1995, but now-Sen. Donne Trotter said this about concealed carry: "What you’re doing here [is] just basically creating part-time police officers who have not gone through the extensive training, who have not had the psychological evaluations, who will be getting out there who feel now that they’re — they are stronger, they are badder, they are tougher because they have this nine-shooter on their hip.”

Talk about out-of-touch!

Would you guess that Trotter will now say that he didn't "intend" to carry his peashooter into the airport and try to board a plane for Washington?

No doubt he was hoping to have his gun, small as a .25 cal. Beretta is, when he got to Washington, D.C. for a meeting. DC's crime rate must be about that of Chicago.

Supposedly, Trotter had the gun in a garment bag and forgot it was there. I don't know what his carry-on garment bag looks like, but what's the connection between his late-night security guard shift and a garment bag? If that's his "duty" weapon, somebody had better educate him on stopping power. Does he change clothing at work, so no punks on the mean city streets of Chicago will mistake him for a cop and shoot him?

And there seem to be conflicting reports as to whether the gun was loaded. Just exactly where was the loaded magazine?

A loud-mouth on Facebook blabbered that a loaded magazine near a gun is a loaded gun. Wrong! I wonder where he came up with that wisdom.

Certainly the bond hearing for Trotter has already taken place, but the Chicago Tribune has not updated its 7:00AM "update". Has someone slapped a muzzle on the reporters and editor?

the little 25 cal was mainly used by women as a purse or garter gun.

I am sure and would bet money that hTrotter works for All Points in Name only..All points needs to have their license looked at and maybe even revoked.
How Many other "COMMUNITY WORKERS" are packing guns? I think there might even be badges involved.

Well, let's say that I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the IDFPR is taking a very close look at the parties involved. Except they won't say so.

Another example of classic Chicago mentality where laws are for the politically non-connected peons in the "51st Ward", and the rich or those with connections will do whatever they want.
