Now it'll be Congressman LaPorta?

Is Congress moving to Huntley?

Will it be necessary at Grafton Township meetings to address the trustees as "Congressman"? Or is that Congressperson?

Read www.mchenrycountyblog.com/ and www.firstelectricnewspaper.com/ for reports on this week's battle in Judge Caldwell's court over whether Supervisor Linda Moore gets to pick the Township Attorney. She had picked one, and the trustees didn't like her choice, so they refused to "consent".

Children, children, children...  you are abandoning your elected, fiduciary duties. Pull your noses out of the air and get back to work.

The attorney for the trustees, Thomas DiCianni, had apparently likened the Grafton Township trustees to Congress when, according to First Electric Newspaper, he said something like the "President doesn't file suit when the Senate won't confirm a Cabinet nominee."

DiCianni threatened to pick up his marbles and run off to appeals court, so Judge Caldwell stayed his order for 30 days for the trustees to confirm John Nelson's appointment as Township Attorney.

I wonder what would happen if 1,000 voters showed up at the next Grafton Township meeting, looked each trustee right in the eye and said, "Stop wasting our money in court and do your job!" Voters would be best advised not to point any (.38 cal.) fingers or say, "Or else", because the trustees might feel alarmed, disturbed and in fear of their peace. And you know what that means.

Apply the Island Lake rule-of-law right in Huntley. Off to the hoosegow on a disorderly conduct charge. It'll get thrown out, but it'll cost you a bundle to defend yourself first. Then you can sue the trustee(s) for false arrest, and the Township will waste more money on legal fees.

The trustees continue to claim that it is Linda Moore who is obstructing the process and not them.
