Concealed carry vote 5/5/11

If you'd like to see how your Illinois Representative voted on House Bill 0148 yesterday, check out this immage. Somebody there was fast enough with his camera to snag this photo. Click on the image to enlarge it; then click on the Back button on your browser to come back here.

Green means a Yes vote; Red means a No vote (or didn't vote). Rumor has it that 21 Representatives did not vote.

Chickens!
Thanks!

Not voting is the same as a "No" vote.

Mr Speaker is the driving force and he votes NO. Until the Chicago Dummicrats and Mr Speaker sign on, it will never pass.

I can understand that the board might start out as all red. I haven't been there to see it. But for 21 Representatiaves not to vote seems different to me than hitting the NO button.

I've started my own list of the NO votes, with names, party, District and addresses, both mail and email.

The grass roots did a fair job, but only fair. There was little promotion to the proponents to go into the districts of the anticipated NO votes and uncover those residents and voters who would contact their own Representatives. Had that been done, the 71 necessary votes would have been there on Thursday!
