Is there anyone in Woodstock who thought 100 weeks would pass without Beth Bentley's being found? She vanished sometime between May 20-23, 2010, possibly from Centralia, Ill. or perhaps from Mount Vernon, Ill. or maybe even from Woodstock, Ill.
The uncertainty of the exact date of Bentley's disappearance has been discussed here previously. The uncertainty of the exact location of her disappearance has also been presented. Questions about who has been interviewed by police (and who has not) have been raised.
The lack of obvious police attention to her disappearance has been questioned. Woodstock Police have never said this is anything other than a missing person case. Fairly soon after her disappearance, they added "Endangered" but never explained how or why they thought Beth was endangered.
Had she been threatened? Was her physical health in danger? Did she need medications that she would have run out of? Was her mental or emotional health okay?
Three people probably have a pretty good idea about what took place on the week-end of May 21-23, 2010, in Mount Vernon, Ill. (or maybe what didn't take place). They are Jennifer Wyatt and brothers Ryan Ridge and Nathan Ridge. Presumably, police interviewed them, but no one outside the Woodstock Police Department knows, except for Ryan and Nathan Ridge.
Jenn Wyatt's story is that Beth and she drove from Woodstock to Mount Vernon on Thursday night, May 20-21, 2010, arriving in Mount Vernon at the house being rehabbed by Ryan Ridge sometime on early Friday morning, May 21. After that, the story gets murky. Really murky. Like maybe as murky as the Big Muddy River or Rend Lake.
Wyatt was arrested recently by Woodstock Police on two felony charges. They claim she talked to Beth on May 25, 2010, but lied to police about it. How are they ever going to prove that, since Beth supposedly has not been seen or heard from since May 23?
Wyatt hasn't entered a plea yet, in spite of three court appearances. Is her lawyer (public defender) working on a deal? How about "NO DEAL"? The police charged her. A story is needed. The true story is needed. If the prosecution refuses to deal, will more come out at a trial? Or will she take the Fifth?
And I don't mean "a fifth".

Apathy in finding out exactly what happened to Beth Bentley that is ...
There was (and is) great interest in character assasination of Beth Bentley. Interest in promoting the agenda that Beth Bentley took off on her own.
The apathy comes in when the lies, misinformation, and questions about "the story" that simply don't make sense, are asked. Or when certain behaviors that aren't within the normal range, are called into question.
I give credit to the new detective on this case for at least trying to get answers out of Jenn Wyatt.
Some best friend ... I guess Beth didn't need enemies with friends like her and the others she hung around with.
There's no such thing as a perfect crime, or a perfect murder.
I hope this officer keeps digging through the mountain of BS thrown out there by her "friends".
And I don't mean "a fifth".

This is not a funny situation but kudos for the pun. It is "high" time that the truth come out. Where is the police on this??? When will the public be given some evidence that they are even investigating this case?????
