Beth Bentley - 89 weeks missing

What more is there to say? Beth Bentley has been missing since May 2010; that's 89 weeks since she was reported missing on May 24, 2010.

Has anyone seen credible reports of activity in her case within the past year? Has every investigation (any investigation?) just ground to a halt?

Is any police agency doing anything? The Woodstock Police Department? The Mt. Vernon Police Department? The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department? The Illinois State Police?

Did all the people with first-hand knowledge of Beth's activities that last week-end give honest, accurate, complete statements? Were the statements taken separately? Were those people questioned carefully about what they knew? Were the statements compared and analyzed?

Even now, if there were a thorough new investigation, holes should show up in their statements. And then those holes could be widened and the discrepancies used to find out what really happened to Beth.

Cold cases can be solved, but they won't solve themselves. Somebody is going to have to do something!
