Oath of Office of Sheriff

"I do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of Sheriff according to the best of my ability."

This is the oath that the Sheriff of McHenry County takes.

Think we can depend on the Sheriff, or the Undersheriff who seems to be running the office, to do this?

Another Georgia sheriff has made it clear that he won't put up with the nonsense talk about of Washington, D.C. about gun legislation that infringements on the rights of Americans. Check out this article on Freedom Outpost.

Sheriff Clay Whittle of Columbia County, Georgia (west and northwest of Augusta), takes a stand and says so.

What can we expect out of Sheriff Nygren and Undersheriff Zinke? Are they willing to make a public statement on this issue?

Gus,

That's a very good question. But first, lets ask ourselves this.
1) Where is Keith Nygren?
a. Is he our Sheriff?
b. What was his listed residence at the time of the election?
c. If he was not listed as a McHenry County Residence... OOPs he would not be our Sheriff.

2) If we have no Sheriff, how can we have deputies?
3) So swear all you want Keith Nygren... are you are Sheriff?
