School bus parking

Check out this parking job by the driver of a McHenry County Schools bus at 3 Brothers Restaurant in Woodstock.

It got my attention, because the driver will have to back up to get out of the parking place. Backing up in a public parking lot is generally something that school bus transportation directors don't like. The risk of even a minor crash is too high.

Perhaps there was a spotter with the driver this morning - someone who will stand near the back of the bus to guide the driver as she backs out, hoping to prevent a crash and not get run over herself.

A better solution? Find a place to park where you don't have to back out.
