Obama goes cheap on Baghdad

Hey, we all know the Marines are good - damned good.

But why didn't Obama send 250, instead of just sending 25? When the demonstrators invaded the Green Zone last week, was that just a warm-up?

Here's what Obama and Hillary don't understand, and don't want to understand. When you have a strong military and show it, then you are quite likely not going to have to use it. But you are ready to. Donald Trump gets that.

When the protestors show up and think they are going to plunder and burn, they get a fast and rude awakening. If the protestors have no doubt that they will be overwhelmed by superior power, they'll crawl back in their holes.

Maybe Obama and Hillary are the way they are because they never put on a uniform...

I know I rarely email you but I wanted to make you all aware of what we in the Algonquin Township Republican Central Committee will formally take up this next Tuesday, May 10th.
We do not need to tell you how riddled with corruption Illinois is and whether we like it or not - nepotism and patronage are a big part of this.
It is killing our party.  It is killing our state.  It is killing our country.  For too long so many "Republicans" have not brought attention to this problem because frankly, we were the ones doing it.  It was ok because it was "our side".  McHenry County and Algonquin Township are no different.
In Algonquin Township and McHenry County - Republicans own it.  It is our problem.  You cannot blame the democrats for this.  Election cycle after election cycle we tolerate this... and look where it gets us.
Our elections are the laughing stock of the state and I am pretty sure Algonquin Township has the highest paid "Administrative Assistant" clocking in at just over $96,000 a year while we hire the two son in laws at $92,000 and $91,000 respectively.
We need to take a stand and start to correct the problem.  It is always the hardest to be "the first" out of the chute - and that is ok - we will do it.
Tuesday night this will be debated and completed... one way or another.  You will hear the gnashing of teeth.
But we, as the Algonquin Township Republican Central Committee will denounce these practices and begin the process of healing the party.  We have no clue what Grafton Township, Dundee Township, or any other county will do - but this is what we will do.
We can only hope others pile on and begin to fix this problem.
We, the committeemen of Algonquin Township, will control what we can control and we just hope the word gets out on this which issue which is why I am emailing you all.  If you could pass this along to your networks we sure would appreciate it.

Remember "The Man in the Arena"

As the Republican primary moves along and continues to draw the attention of Americans and, no doubt, people around the world, let us keep in mind Theodore Roosevelt's words at the Sorbonne on April 23, 1910.

They are often quoted and sometimes memorized. They are good to know and to remember.

Hillary's comments - off, for sure

You can tell that Hillary Clinton is getting rattled by Donald Trump. It's showing up in her language and her speeches.

Trump said Hillary is playing the "woman's card". She is. And then she twists it to fit her stand and gets a round of applause from the women in her audience.

She tells Jake Tapper that "He {Trump) can say whatever he wants to say about me, I could really care less."

For a woman with some years in school far, far behind her, didn't she ever learn that the phrase is, "I couldn't care less..."?

Based on her exact words, she does care what Trump says about her and she could care less, but she doesn't.

And then she slams Native Americans (err, I mean Indians) when she claims Trump is "off the reservation" in his remarks.

What is it going to take for America to wake up and see who Hillary Clinton really is? If America ever does wake up, Hillary won't even be able to get elected as dog catcher in No Name, Colorado. Maybe in Hell, though.

New software needed

A woman wrote to tech support, and their reply is a stroke of genius.

This young woman is no different from the rest of us, both family happiness and heartbreak are familiar to her. She is simply looking for an answer to her questions. How do you maintain a relationship? How do you bring back the excitement of the first date. She wrote a letter to the tech support to find her answers. She sent the letter as a joke and only remembered about it when she suddenly received an email notification with a response.

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slowdown in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as: Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as: NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter command: I thought you loved me.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please, do not attempt to re-install the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend: Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

You know? I think I'd better stop reading the news about refugee resettlement in the USA. All I do is get more and more upset.

Now I read that the Council on Islamic-American Relations (CAIR) is suing more employers for religious accommodations on the job. This is (figure out what eight-letter word I want to write here; starts with b- and ends with -t).

Muslim refugees come to the United States on re-settlement programs and are assisted in finding employment. Then they demand workplace accommodations so they can say their prayers at work, after washing their faces, hands (and feet). Now you tell me; where is that employee going to find a place to wash his smelly feet at work?

Oh, in the bathroom sink, you say? You mean the same place where you will be washing your hands before lunch?

Give me a break. Muslims can say their prayers away from the workplace, and I don't mean by taking over public streets or sidewalks or parks, either.

I'm thinking that maybe the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, along with all State and City chambers of commerce, ought to band together and start suing CAIR. Enough lawsuits would swamp their bank accounts and put them out of business. Where do I send my contribution for that?

Rules may be relaxed in certain GFZs

There are plenty of cautionary tales about standing and shooting from one position. Most trainers teach that the shooter needs to learn to move his feet. A moving target is harder to hit than a stationary one.

Having said that, most rangemasters get upset when, at an indoor range with those narrow booths, you move too much within your tiny enclosure.

We have some good indoor ranges here in the Columbia, S.C. area, and they don't cost an arm and a leg, either. Also, there are outdoor ranges somewhat nearby and plenty of private ranges, if you know the right people.

Next I'll be looking for tactical training. I have shot from behind barricades and from the prone position, but it has been a while. Well, more than a while. And I imagine I can use more practice with weak-hand shooting.

Along many South Carolina state highways are signs that indicate "Shooting - Private Range", so that passing motorists won't think they are coming under attack.

South Carolina is a gun-friendly state, even though the anti-gunners are constantly nibbling away at the legislators. We don't have open carry here, as they do in North Carolina and like Virginia and Wisconsin (and many other states) do.

And I've learned that on some important properties that are signed as gun-free zones (GFZ), the policing authority there doesn't take a Zero-Tolerance stand. One friendly (imagine that!) police chief told me that if you "accidentally" (meaning, unintentionally) carry a firearm into a GFZ building, just identify yourself to a guard and proceed to the police station's room (on that property) where you can lock your firearm in a locker, take the key and pick up your firearm on your way out. And that one can overlook the "Firearms Prohibited" signs at the property entrances; just leave your firearm in your locked vehicle.
