And for the distinction of the insurance requirement - required by drivers, not for just getting the D/L.

I favor large-letter printing on the "temporary" D/Ls to be issued that reads, "I'm here illegally. Deport me."

Or should it just read, "Ha-ha. Just try to deport me."Gushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09036550825708569102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095750659102120237.post-14926512257878711032013-01-30T12:32:09.858-06:002013-01-30T12:32:09.858-06:00In Illinois there are basically 3 types of penalti...In Illinois there are basically 3 types of penalties for criminal offenses, felony, misdameanor and petty offense. There is also a thing called "business offense" whoch is essentially the same as a petty offense. Felonies and misdameanors both carry the "possibility" of jail time upon conviction. Petty offenses on the oter hand are fine only. I think this classification was to keep minor traffic offenses from carrying the possibility of jail time. With that possibility also, unless waive each and every time by the prosecutor, could involve the use of a taxpayer funded attorney to defend people charged with offenses as minor as forgetting to have their license on their person or no rear registration plate light. As for these invaders getting drivers licenses and paying that one month and moving on i dont think they will even bother with the one month. To get your drivers license does not require you to have insurance. You only have to show that proof when you are actually driving. What is a "petty offense"? The terms misdemeanor and felony are used elsewhere.

Then read about consular identification documents. You know that old trick, right? About the Consular Matriculation documents being issued in Rockford? Just walk up and say "Si, señor" and you've got your official (sort-of) papers.

What illegal alien is here with a passport from Mexico or any other country?

Say "Thank you, politicians".
