"Islam is Islam"

There are no modifiers, such as radical or moderate.

Listen to and watch former 4-Star Navy Admiral Ace Lyons at The National Press Club. He tells how Obama is destroying the USA. He explains Obama's signals to jihadists. He starts with the infiltration of all U.S. intelligence agencies by the Muslim Brotherhood. He speaks about lost opportunities to respond to overseas attacks on Americans. "Political correctness has neutralized all our military leadership."

"The threat is Islam."

Be sure to stick around for the Q&A following his brief remarks. He speaks about Obama's unilateral disarmament of the U.S. military and lists certain changes that must stop.

Trey Gowdy to the POTUS

Trey Gowdy wrote to Barack Obama. Think he read it? (I doubt it.) Gowdy sent this email to constituents in South Carolina. You'll notice that he left Sen. Lindsey Graham off his address list. Too bad that the wimps in Congress from Illinois haven't got the balls to stand up like this!

I propose a site for the new Brig. Next door to 5046 South Greenwood Avenue, Chicago. That's Obama's address, or at least the neighborhood. Or maybe put it next to Rahm's house, since Obama and he were such good buddies.

Last week, I joined Senator Scott and five South Carolina colleagues in sending a letter to President Obama calling for the immediate halt of any plan to move dangerous terrorists from Guantanamo Bay to U.S. soil. Recently, the Obama Administration announced it is assessing Fort Leavenworth in Kansas and the Navy Brig in Charleston, South Carolina, as possible facilities where these terrorists could be held long term. This is unacceptable for the reasons set forth below.

From the letter: “This action is ill advised and could prove to be dangerous for the American people, particularly those in South Carolina. Unfortunately, it appears that your administration is more concerned about fulfilling hopeless campaign promises than protecting the safety and security of the American people.”

“We write to respectfully request an immediate halt to this plan and to inform you we are prepared to use all possible means to keep terrorists in Guantanamo Bay and off American soil."

Below is the full text of the letter:

August 20, 2015

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear President Obama,

We are extremely concerned that your administration is conducting site surveys to review the Consolidated Naval Brig (Brig) in Charleston, South Carolina, among other areas, as potential sites to relocate dangerous international terrorists currently held in the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp. This action is ill advised and could prove to be dangerous for the American people, particularly those in South Carolina. Unfortunately, it appears that your administration is more concerned about fulfilling hopeless campaign promises than protecting the safety and security of the American people.

We write to respectfully request an immediate halt to this plan and to inform you we are prepared to use all possible means to keep terrorists in Guantanamo Bay and off American soil.

As we’re sure you are aware, Congress has spoken clearly on the issue of moving terrorists from Guantanamo to the United States. Starting with the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2013 and the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2013, Congress has specifically prohibited funds from being used to transfer or release detainees into the United States, or to assist in the transfer or release of detainees into the country.

Notwithstanding being clearly against the law, the intent of Congress, and the will of the American people, populating the Consolidated Naval Brig with some of the world’s most dangerous terrorists and killers would be terribly irresponsible.

The Brig is located less than a mile from a school, and there are other schools and multiple residential neighborhoods nearby. Understandably, our constituents do not want for themselves or their friends or family to go to school or live near known members of al Qaeda who wish nothing more than to kill Americans, or to be so close to what will instantly become a high value terrorist target.  We are confident this is true of anyone.

The Brig is also in close proximity to one of our nation’s busiest ports, the Port of Charleston, as well as the City of Charleston, which was named the number one tourist destination in the United States.

Just a short distance down the road from the elementary schools and Port is the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Systems Center Atlantic, and the Navy Nuclear Power Training Command. Both of these strategic military installations are vital to our national defense and military readiness and would only further raise the profile for the area to become a target for terrorism. Rolling out a red carpet for the remaining 116 terrorists at Guantanamo Bay in this immediate area is an ill-conceived combination that brings too much risk.

To be clear, we do not simply oppose moving Guantanamo Bay terrorists to South Carolina—we strongly oppose any efforts to close Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp and move its detainees to anywhere in the U.S. or the rest of the world. There is no plan or study that shows transferring prisoners from Guantanamo Bay to South Carolina or any other domestic location will make America safer. Any effort to remove them from the facility only allows a possibility of them returning to their previous lives as vicious terrorists who are ready, willing and able to kill innocent people across the world.  According to a March 2015 report by the Director of National Intelligence, 17 percent of Guantanamo terrorists have been confirmed in reengaging in terrorist activity and another 10 percent are suspected of reengaging in terrorism.

There is no need to recreate Guantanamo Bay at great risk and expense domestically when it already exists.

With these facts in mind, we strongly encourage you to keep the terrorists in Guantanamo Bay where they belong, and pass on fulfilling a political promise that would jeopardize America’s national security.

Whatever your decision, we respectfully request that you keep our offices informed on any and all plans going forward regarding moving Guantanamo Bay terrorists to the United States.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
/s/ Senator Tim Scott
/s/ Congressman Mark Sanford (SC-01)
/s/ Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02)
/s/ Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC – 03)
/s/ Congressman Trey Gowdy (SC-04)
/s/ Congressman Mick Mulvaney (SC-05)
/s/ Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07)

Simply Lemonade - a worthless guarantee

On Sunday I bought a 59-oz. size of Simply Lemonade. It tastes like what I suspect turpentine might taste like (although I've never tasted turpentine).

In the past I have enjoyed Simply Orange, so I had decided to try Simply Lemonade.

It was terrible. After the first taste, I poured it down the drain.

I called the customer service line this morning at 800/871-2653. The rep was polite, but she had no authority to provide product satisfaction. She thanked me, without ever asking my name or ZIP Code. When I asked about a product guarantee, she asked for the freshness date stamped on the container (September 26, 2015). And then for my ZIP Code. But never for my name and address.

When I asked her to inform her supervisor and manager that I thought the company ought to meet its guarantee, all she was authorized to say was that the product was "fresh" (from the production date). She was not interested in the production code (ANG1 E 07:55 LEM), even though I offered it. There is no taste guarantee.

I suggested that the company really ought to have some type of guarantee beyond the "freshness guarantee".

There was an opportunity for them to keep me as a customer, but they missed it. From now on, I'll head for the Dole products.

What says the Commander-in-Defeat?

Last week I directed a friend to a military recruiting office.

Yesterday I learned the office is closed.

Today I went there, to offer my help in protecting those who serve and whom the POTUS refuses to allow to protect themselves.

What did I find? The office is closed. A sign on the door read, "Due to an increase in security posture, this office will remain locked at all times. Please knock and someone will be right with you."

So I knocked. Then I knocked again. No one came to the door. Even they had, I guess they couldn't have gotten out or I in, since the order is that the office "will remain locked at all times." But maybe my first clues were that there were no cars were in the parking lot and the lights were off.

I wondered who the idiot was who authorized the wording on the sign. "posture?"

The military recruits civilians to become soldiers, airmen, seamen, Marines. The military trains them. Part of the training includes firearms training. And then the military disarms them! Dumb!

Obama wasn't the first to disarm them. Wasn't it Bill Clinton (our "I did not have sex with that woman" president) who first forbade soldiers to bear arms? Let's see, "bear arms". Seems like that is in the U.S. Constitution. Isn't it? Isn't it still there, despite the attempts of the idiots to make it otherwise?

I guess there is little sense in standing guard outside a vacant office.

What is wrong with this country? Obama, supposedly the Commander-in-Chief (oh, yeah; the "latte" Commander), ought to be leading the charge through Congress to change the law. Or just "order" his military commanders to authorize service members to carry firearms at all times. On duty. Off duty. On base. Off base.

Is there not one General right under Obama's nose who will stand up and tell him he is wrong?

In case your old, tired eyes cannot read The Soldier's Creed, it is

"I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my Warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am an American Soldier."

My guess is that Obama has never read the Creed.

Is Prim reviewing old major-crimes cases?

Bill Prim was elected Sheriff of McHenry County in 2014 and took office on December 1.

Is he reviewing any old cases? For example, the triple homicide near Marengo on June 7, 2011? An elderly couple, Jack and Audrey Feldkamp, died. Doran Bloom died.

Sheriff Nygren didn't bother to conduct any type of thorough investigation and less than 24 hours later declared "Case closed". A fourth person was at the house and, after a little chat (less than 30 minutes) in a hospital room the following day, a so-called detective with MCSD had to have reported verbally to Nygren (or maybe only to his own supervisor, who then gave it third-hand to Nygren), and Nygren went before the bright lights at a press conference to say that the kid from down the street did it and deserved to die. Nygren barred the door to Cal Skinner, Pete Gonigam and me. We might have asked some hard questions, even then.

Oh, really? MCSD officers trampled all over the crime scene. The crime-scene log shows about 50 entries. A detective supervisor entered the residence and then left. When she re-entered, she correctly donned that little booties that are to prevent contamination of a crime scene. Too late!!! Nygren and Zinke were there for 15 minutes. Only 15 minutes... So much for taking charge!

No evidence was ever sent to a crime lab. MCSD did not make any effort to match blood samples from the floors, walls or clothing. They never even accounted for all the bullets. They found four more spent casings than they found bullets.

The Coroner in Winnebago County did a crappy job and did not conduct a fully-open coroner's jury, as required by State law. She had a hand-picked group of favorite jury members, and they met in private for two hours to examine and discuss two of the three deaths. Audrey Feldkamp died in the hospital in Rockford before midnight, and the previous McHenry County Coroner decided, in violation of Illinois law, to conduct Doran Bloom's inquest in Rockford "for convenience". I was there with Doran Bloom's parents and a Northwest Herald reporter.

When the Coroner escorted the four of us from the waiting room, she said that the jury had been meeting since 7:00AM. I immediately asked "Why?" and she said she always did it that way. The wrong way!

MCSD should have called in MIAT but didn't. I mean, why would they want anyone snooping around after three people died? Would 4-5 pairs of officers from police departments in the County raise a squawk about not collecting blood samples and keeping nosing spectators (deputies with morbid curiosity but no official duty inside the residence) out of the crime scene?

Sheriff Prim should launch a thorough investigation to put to rest ongoing rumors that it did not happen the way that Keith Nygren swallowed the story.

What will it take to get him to do that?
